Kenya has a new Miss World Kenya in Shamim Nabil, a 20-year-old
Mombasa born student. She was crowned on
Saturday at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi. She also took
with her cash reward of Ksh 1 million.
Shamim will represent
Kenya in the forthcoming 62nd Miss World Final 2012 that takes place
in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China on August 18. The first runner-up was Emma
Zanella and Rachel Mahinda was the second runner-up.
